Answer:

A.It was the most vital transportation hub for the capital.

Explanation:

The city of Petersburg was a railroad hub that supplied Richmond with supplies. For this reason, this city was so important to the capital Richmond.

Knowing that a direct attack on Richmond would be disastrous, the union moved its forces southward south of the James River to attack Petersburg, a railroad hub that supplied Richmond with supplies. Instead of a direct attack, the union chose to surround Petersburg and slowly stagnate it with the lack of supplies to Richmond.

Which diagram illustrates a cause-and-effect relationship on the home front during World War II?
Dahasolnce [82]

The correct cause and effect diagram is D. Because during that period every men left to fight the war and the factories needed to continue working. That is why women took men's places at work. A very good example of this, is the image of Rosie the Riveter.

4vir4ik [10]
Researching the history of religious vocation of women in the middle ages was a great challenge especially because the bulk of information regarding this era was written by men and for men. And in this era, the majority of women were illiterate; hence few recorded their thoughts and visions. Again many people did not readily understand the mystery of religious vocation, nor did they comprehend the fact that women can find fulfillment in a monastic milieu. However, such a call to solitude and prayer has been heard by women from the early days of the primitive Church and has continued, with varying degrees of popularity, throughout the centuries up to and including the present. So, many names survived the intervening centuries, whose education enabled them to share their visions and artistic accomplishments. From these survivors, twentieth-century scholars discovered playwrights, calligraphers, illuminators, embroiderers, lace workers, even printers, as well as mystical scholars and writers in the ranks of female medieval monastic.

How did the Cold War begin, and what "weapons" were used to fight this war? I only need 8 sentences with different facts?? helpp
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

Explanation:

It began in 1946 after WW2 as a means of containment between

Russia and the Western allies. At the end of the war the allies

controlled parts of Berlin and so did the Russians. It was agreed

that Berlin would be divided into 4 parts. Three of the four were

western powers and the 4th was Russian. This divided Germany into 2

parts east Germany (Russian) and western Germany (western nations). Eventually, the Berlin Wall was built and the two sides

faced off at the border until 1989 when it fell. The Cold War was

not a shooting war, but a war of threats and words.
