Yes the meaning of integrity is the following

the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

Someone who has integrity is someone who acts morally and according to fair principles, even when these might go against his personal interests. A person who has this quality will generally conduct himself in this manner at all times, not only in particular cases. Therefore, if a person chooses to be fair and honest only in some circumstances, then he should not be considered to have integrity. Moreover, as his behaviour is irregular and advantageous, this means that he should not be considered to be trustworthy.

What is the purpose of the scene in Leo Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich in which Ivan Ilyich thinks about the following logic
svlad2 [7]

The syllogism is used (A) to show that all men are mortal and therefore Ivan Ilyich, a man, must die.

This is a logical argument in which Ivan believes that Caius is a man and that all men are mortal, then Caius too must be a mortal.

Which sentence best shows a strong thesis statement?
Allisa [31]

Answer:

I'd imagine the correct answer is the third one, "The story illustrates that growing up can be a painful experience".

Explanation:

Well, numbers 2 and 4 just explain the story's setting, they don't really demonstrate the story's main theme or lesson. Number 1 is, like, super vague as well. Like, it could be describing a million different stories. Number 3, however, displays the story's main theme and has a statement that can be backed up with evidence from that story. So, the sentence that best shows a strong thesis statement is the third statement.
