The answer would be 8 inches.
To figure this out, you need to know that a square has four equal sides so all of the side lengths have to be the same. Well, area is length times width so you need to find the square root of 64. Once you do that you should get an answer of 8 inches

The ratio of the diameters is 15:11. If the diameter of the smaller ball is 55cm, what is the volume of the larger ball? Round t
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer:

220,781.25 cubic cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ratio of the diameters = 15:11

Let the actual value of of diameters be 15x and 11x to maintain the ratio of 15:11

Given that smaller one has diameter of 55cm

thus 11x = 55cm

x = 55/11 cm = 5

Thus, diameter of larger ball = 15xcm= 15*5cm =75cm.

we know that radius is half of diameter

Radius = diameter/2

Thus radius of larger ball = 75/2 cm = 37.5 cm.

Volume of sphere is given by (4/3)\pi r^3

we know that  ball has spherical shape

thus volume of larger ball is calculated as given below

volume \ of \ ball = (4/3)\pi r^3\\=> volume \ of \ ball = (4/3)*3.14* 37.5^3\\=> volume \ of \ ball = (4/3)*3.14* 37.5^3\\=> volume \ of \ ball = 220,781.25

Thus, volume of larger ball is 220,781.25 cubic cm

the function t(n) 8n represents the number of tires t(n) that are needed for n trucks. if t(n)=200. what is the value of n?
mr_godi [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

if I understand correctly, then the function is

t(x) = 8x

now we know, that for a specific n

t(n) = 200

that means

200 = 8n

n = 200/8 = 25

the function tells us, that for 25 trucks we need 200 tires.

Y=x, y=0, y=4, x=6 : find the volume of the solid generated revolving around line x=6
Vilka [71]
Using shells, the volume is

\displaystyle2\pi\int_0^6(6-x)x\,\mathrm dx

where 6-x is the distance from any point in the region along the x-axis to the axis of revolution x=6, which makes up the radius of each shell; and x is the height of each shell, which is determined by the line y=x.

So the volume is

\displaystyle2\pi\int_0^6(6x-x^2)\,\mathrm dx=2\pi\left(3x^2-\frac{x^3}3\right)\bigg|_{x=0}^{x=6}=72\pi

4-(3x+3)=4x
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

4-(3x+3)=4x

4-3x-3=4x

4-3=4x+3x

1=7x

x=1/7

or

4-(3x+3)=4x

4-3x-3=4x

-3x-4x=-4+3

-7x=-1

x=-1/-7

-/-=+

so -1/-7 it equal to 1/7

you dont want negative x

x=1/7
