This is because Scout has a rough-and-tumble, tomboy behavior, which comes completely out of the sexist standards that women should follow in order to be accepted in society and to be well regarded, to be respected. History suggests how girls were stifled by these standards and how it impeded women's free thinking and positioning in society.
