Which graph represents the compound inequality? n<-2 or n >=4

Mathematics

This would be two infinitely high planes.  The left extending infinitely to the left and stopping short of the vertical line x=-2 and the right starting just to the right of the vertical line x=4 and extending infinitely to the right.

Or you could think of it as an infinite plane excluding the infinitely high region from x=[-2,4]

Or if you are simply referring to a number line:  n=(-oo,-2)U(4,+oo)

What is the solution to the system of equations below? Y=-1/4x+2 and 3y=-3/4x-6
fgiga [73]

<u>Answer:</u>

There are infinite solutions to the system of equations given

<u>Solution: </u>

The given equations given are,

y=-\frac{x}{4}+2------ (i)

3 y=-\frac{3 x}{4}-6---- (ii)

Now putting the value of (i) in (ii) we get,

3 \times\left(-\frac{x}{4}+2\right)=-\frac{3 x}{4}-6

\Rightarrow-\frac{3 x}{4}+6=-\frac{3 x}{4}-6

\Rightarrow\frac{3 x}{4}-\frac{3 x}{4}=-12

\Rightarrow0 \times x=-12

\Rightarrowx=(\frac{-12}{0})=\infty

So, there are <em>infinite solutions</em> to the system.

285y = 15 what’s the solution
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

285y = 15\\y = \frac{15}{285}\\y = \frac{1}{19}

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to divide the entire equation by 285 to get y alone.

Then, simplify the fraction to get 1/19.
