Roadway Signs

 • They convey instant communication.
 • They surpass language barrier.
 • They are becoming a standard for traffic control devices globally.

The Color in Road Sign

Color is an essential indicator of the information or instruction it holds in the sign. Some colors like red for stop, yellow for caution have been integrated into the public’s daily routines since childhood. The following are the colors and their meaning used in modern day signage:

 • Red – means stop, yield and do no enter. It indicated that the information or instruction is crucial
 • Orange and Yellow - Orange is the standard color for construction zones and indicated temporary hazard. Yellow for caution and for permanent hazard.
 • Green, Blue and Brown – signs that are Less critical information Is generally over neutral or cool color. These colors intend not to distract the driver but just to inform. Green color is for exit and blue color is for rest stops and restaurants. Brown is for outdoor recreation.
 • Black and White – these colors are for clarity or advisory for the motorist regarding speed and potential hazard ahead. Examples are speed limit signs, movement regulations, one way signs, and railroad crossing signs

Ray Of Light [21]
Landslide victories do not guarantee that Congress will be of the same party and therefore can prevent continued success by the President.

These presidents were reelected due to the trust Americans had in them to get the country through a tough time. FDR--Great Depression, LBJ--assassination of JFK, Nixon--Vietnam/activism, and Reagan--recession. However, Congress was not in their favor to continue the policies they had been using in their first terms. On that note, these were all 2nd term (LBJ was technically first election but had served two years already) elections where the president had gained the approval of the people.
All faced increased adversity as well after the landslide victory. FDR--recession and WWII begins, LBJ--entry into Vietnam, Nixon--Watergate, and Reagan--stock market crash.
