Option A

Answer:

The value of x in the equation 2(x - 3) + 5x = 5(2x + 6) is -12

Solution:

From question given that

2(x - 3) + 5x = 5(2x + 6)

Open the brackets,

2x – 6 + 5x = 10x + 30

Rewrite the above equation,

2x + 5x – 6 = 10x + 30

On simplifying the above equation, we get

7x – 6 = 10x + 30

Now adding 6 on both sides,

7x – 6 + 6 =10x + 30 + 6

7x = 10x + 36

On subtracting 10x on both sides,

7x - 10x = 10x + 36 - 10x

-3x = 36

On dividing -3 on both sides,

x = -12

Hence on simplifying 2(x - 3) + 5x = 5(2x + 6) we get value of x is -12. Hence Option (A) is correct.

Before you can add or subtract fractions with different denominators.you first have to find common denominators. subtract the numerators and reduce fraction.

Adding fractions make sure numbers are same add the numerators and put it over the denominator,simplify the fraction if needed

The point (5,4) is rotated 180° clockwise
zmey [24]

Answer: (-5,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

I assume that you need the new coordinates of the point after the rotation centered at the origin.

For this exercise it is important to remember the definition of "Rotation".

A Rotation is defined as a transformation which a figure is rotated about a fixed point known as "Center of rotation".

The figure before the transformation is called Pre-Image and the figure obtained after the transformation is called "Image".

The 180 degree rotation about the origin Rule states that:

(x,y) → (-x, -y)

Therefore, knowing that the given point (5,4) is rotated 180 degrees clockwise about the origin, you can conclude that its Image is:

(-5,-4)

Say that a and b are the lengths of the legs of a right triangle and c is the length of the hypotenuse. Find b if a = 21 and c =
maria [59]
When the triangle is a right triangle, you can use the Pythagorean theorem. The formula would be

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

If a = 21 and c=29, thus

b^2 = c^2 - a^2
b^2 = 29^2 - 21^2
b^2 = 400
b = square root (400)
b = 20 units.

Thus, the answer is D) B = 400
