$x = (-2) cos (\pi/3) = (-2)(\frac{1}{2}) =-1 \\ \\ y=(-2) sin (\pi/3) = (-2)(\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2})=-\sqrt{3}$

The rectangular coordinates are:
$(-1,-\sqrt{3})$
