Now it’s your turn to write about an event or idea from two different perspectives. During the American Revolution, ideas were o

ften written on posters. At the time of the Vietnam War, they were shared through radio and television. Today, people and groups post their thoughts on the Internet using social media sites or share them through text messages. Follow the directions below to write a conversation about a current event topic through text message, instant message, or status updates. Choose one of the following topics for your conversation: Soda tax — Should people have to pay an extra tax on soda or junk food?

I won't write an entire conversation going back and forth but I will give some pointers to get you started. Remember this is my opinion, only.

I think it's a great idea to tax junk food and soda's a little more hefty. I feel that we have such an obesity and morbid obesity epidemic and we're literally laughed at all over the globe. If people cannot afford to pay for the excess taxes on these products, they will be able to eat better. Now, on the other side of that argument, the healthier foods and produce should be left MINIMUMALLY taxed and lowered cost. Almost the opposite way of how it currently is in America.

The healthy produce and healthy foods/meats/cheeses, etc are very expensive and people would rather get more for their money thereby, they'll get junk foods and soda because it's cheaper. If we flip this around economically, by default American's would more than likely eat better.

I also feel that junk food/soda's etc should not be covered in food stamps but that's another topic.

loris [4]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Latin American liberation movements were often based on Enlightenment ideas of natural rights. Describe some of the natural rights Hidalgo could have listed in his decree as explanations for why he wished to abolish slavery, taxes based on race, and the requirement of the seal.

The natural ideas that priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla could have listed in his decree could have been the right to life, liberty, and property. Indeed that is what he referred to when he gathered all the people from the Mexican town of Dolores, Hidalgo.

Enlightenment thinkers and philosophers such as Voltaire, Jean-Jaques Rosseau, Baron of Montesquieu, or John Locke, developed interesting concepts about government and citizen rights that years later influenced important revolutionary movements as was the case of the American Revolutionary War, the French Revolution, and the Independence Movement of México.

vlada-n [284]

Answer:

Due to weak economy and heavy loss in the war.

Explanation:

The Bolshevik takeover Russian government in October 1917 because the people thought that the Nicholas II is not fit to rule over the country. There are two main reason for this revolution i.e. widespread inflation and food shortages in Russia and heavy losses that the Russians suffered during World War I due to inadequate supplies of weapons and logistics. At that time  Nicholas II was the emperor of the country so all the blame came on him and the people viewed him as weak and unfit to rule over the Russia.
