Sometimes it's ex-nihilo while sometimes  they do it from already existing elements such as their body. Modern scientific understanding shows the natural processes that occurred and eliminate things like deities while incorporating theoretical physics and chemistry and similar things in order to formulate how the earth was made.<span />
