The answer is 108. You multiply 8x3=24 then 5x8=40 then 4x8=32 then 4x3=12/2=6 6x2=12 24+40+32+12=108

If point k is at (-3,2) where will it be when it is reflected over the line y=1 and then rotated 90 degrees?
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

(0,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

(-3,2) reflected over the line y=1 is (-3,0)

Now rotated 90 degrees over what, and in which direction?

Im going to assume that the rotation is counter clockwise over the origin because that is standard when not mentioned. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That would be: (0,-3)

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-4, -1) and (4, 5)?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have two points, we can use the slope formula

m = ( y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   = ( 5 - -1)/( 4 - -4)

   = ( 5+1)/(4+4)

   = 6/8

   = 3/4

Please help! I am so confused
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The second option, y + 2x = 10, is the correct answer for this problem.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are many different ways to solve this problem.  I am going to pick a point represented in the table and plug its values into the given equations to find the correct response.

From the table, we can conclude that the point (0,10) must satisfy the equation.  This means that if we plug in 0 for x and 10 for y into the equations below, we should get a true statement.

y - 2x = 14

10 - 2(0) = 14

10 = 14

Since 10 is not equal to 14, we know that the first option is incorrect.

y + 2x = 10

10 + 2(0) = 10

10 = 10

Therefore, the second option may be our answer, but we should make sure the other options are incorrect.

2y + x = 23

2(10) + 0 = 23

20 = 23

Since 20 is not equal to 23, we know that the third option is incorrect.

y + x = 11

10 + 0 = 11

Since 10 is not equal to 11, we know that the fourth option is also incorrect.

Since the second option is the only answer that yielded a true statement when a point from the table was plugged in, we can conclude that the second option (y + 2x = 10) is the answer.  If you wanted to make sure, you could plug in each of the points represented in the table and confirm that they too make the equation true.

Hope this helps!

3x+1. I need to find and write an equation for x
Alchen [17]

Answer:

x =\frac{-1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

As the given algebraic expression is

3x+1

In order to solve the expression 3x+1 for x, we have to

3x+1=0

Step 1: Subtract 1 from both sides

3x+1-1=0-1

3x=-1

Step 2: Divide both sides by 3.

\frac{3x}{3} =\frac{-1}{3}

x =\frac{-1}{3}

Therefore, x =\frac{-1}{3}
