I am actually doing the same EXACT project right now at school! Make sure when you make your emergency preparedness plan, You include the following 5:

Prevention: What can be done to help prevent the disaster from taking place?

Mitigation: How can you reduce the effects of the disaster

Preparedness: What preparations can be made ahead of time so that everyone can work effectively to improve conditions?

Response: What can be done during the disaster to deal with problems?

Recovery: What can be done to revert the city back to normal?

Also, you don't have to pick your state/province. I chose Sao Paulo Brazil and tornadoes.

Why is the myth the athletes need additional protein is not true
amid [387]
The body already produces enough protein to get by just fine. However, many people think athletes "use up" too much protein and faster than they gain it back, but that is not true because the body regulates homeostasis. I hope I helped :)

How does food pass to the fetus
Hoochie [10]
The mom's diet goes through her digestive tract, as it normally would. Nutrients are absorbed some through the stomach, and more so through the small intestine. They are broken down into their smallest components, and Mom's blood reaches the baby through the blood vessels in the placenta and umbilical cord.
