Which fact, left out of this account, most clearly suggests that the account is
Vilka [71]

The statement of fact which most clearly suggests that the account is biased is; Choice C; The governor also supports laws that fight crime and lower taxes for the middle class.

Statements of Fact

From the excerpt, it was brought to notice that;

 • Our wise governor supported the law against hunting, and now we're paying the price.

However, one must be conscious that the account is biased because it fails to recognise the he fact that the governor also supports other laws that fight crime and lower taxes for the middle class.

What does the process of close reading help a reader do?
Sidana [21]
In a way all of the given. It gives you a greater understanding of the ending of the story, and helps you to perhaps think about it more deeply. As you close read it, you have to actually understand the story as more than just words on paper, or a screen. It also helps you to understand the story all and all, and to gain a deeper understandment of the literary meanings of the story in general, as well as gaining a surface and in depth meaning of the story and more. There isn't just one answer better than another, because they are all qualities that close reading will give you for that story.

KiRa [710]

Answer:

The implied main idea of the selection is

the benefits of the Social Security Act.

Explanation:

a) President Roosevelt, in 1935, signed into law the Social Security Act. It is a federal law that provides for the general welfare of citizens through the provision of old-age benefits. It also provides social insurance for blind persons, dependent and disabled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and unemployment.

b) The main idea is represented by the topic sentence. It introduces the theme of a passage. It is supported by other ideas that provide evidence and examples. This function is ably and accurately performed by sentences 2 to 8 in this passage.
