2- ELI WHITNEY --- Responsible for factory assembly lines

Whitney's greatest contribution to the industry of the United States of America was the import and implementation of the manufacturing system and the assembly line. He was the first to use it in the production of muskets for the government of the United States and the second in the world, since the French inventor Honoré Le Blanc developed it in the manufacture of muskets for the French army.

3- EDWIN L. DRAKE --- Discovered oil

Edwin Laurentine Drake (1819-1880), oil driller of the United States, is popularly credited with having "discovered" oil.

In 1859, a man told Drake that his oil extraction machine would never work. On August 27, 1859, at a well that was built by Drake at Oil Creek, near Titusville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, oil was found. Since then, that day is known as Drake Day. Although oil was known prior to this fact, it was not available in large enough quantities to be useful.

6- THOMAS A. EDISON --- Invented the electric light

Edison was a prolific inventor who registered 1,093 patents to his name in the United States, as well as others in the United Kingdom, France and Germany. But more important than his many patents was the broad impact of some of his inventions: electric light and public electricity supply, sound recording and cinematography became powerful new industries all over the world.

7- ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL --- Invented the telephone

Alexander Graham Bell was a British-American scientist, inventor and speech therapist. Contributed to the development of telecommunications and aviation technology.
