He then later claimed this new land for Spain. He actually discovered America by accident since he was on a voyage to find a quicker route to Asia from Europe.

The process of relocating tribes to new areas began with the Indian Removal Act of 1830, during the Andrew Jackson administration. This act required all Native tribes to relocate west of the Mississippi River. These original attempts to deprive indigenous people of their native lands took the form of treaties.
The colonists believed that the primary source of social control of children was family. The first encounters of children on social control is with their families, at home or in extended family gatherings or in social events involving family friends. During these times, they are slowly taught how to socially interact.
