Answer:

Difference in Present Value = $ 851.86

Explanation:

The fist scheme is an annuity. A series of fixed cash flow occurring annually for certain period of time. We can determine the present value of the annuity using the formula below:

PV = A × (1- (1+r)^(-n) )/r

10,000 × (1- 1.10^(-50))/0.1  =99,148.14

The second scheme is a perpetuity . A series of fixed cash inflow occurring  for the unforeseeable future

PV = A × 1/r

PV = 10,000×   1/0.1= 100,000

Difference in PV = 100,000  - 99,148.14= 851.855

Difference in Present Value = $ 851.86

Anni [7]

Answer:

$25,000

Explanation:

Lupo Company's equity = owner's equity + retained earnings

  • owner's equity = $15,000 (initial investment) - $2,000 (withdrawal) = $13,000
  • retained earnings = net income = total revenue - total costs = $35,000 - $23,000 = $12,000

Lupo Company's equity = $13,000 + $12,000 = $25,000

Inventory Valuation under Variable Costing Lane Company produced 50,000 units during its first year of operations and sold 47,30
otez555 [7]

Answer:

1. $5.62

2. $15,174

Explanation:

1. The computation of the cost of one unit of product under variable costing is shown below:-

Total product cost = Direct material + Direct labor + Variable overhead

= $123,000 + $93,000 + $65,000

= $281,000

Unit product cost = Total product cost ÷ Produced units

= $281,000 ÷ $50,000

= $5.62

2. The computation of cost of ending inventory under variable costing is shown below:-

Unsold at end = Unit produced - Unit sold

= 50,000 - 47,300

= 2,700

Cost of ending inventory = Number of units sold × Unit product cost

= $5.62 × 2,700

= $15,174
