In a business, and in your own words, explain how the media fulfills that role, and how it influences government..

Well, one thing that a media could do it to expose what the business is to be offering. So, if there were a company that were selling metal, they would be able to use media and other things to expose there selves. One way that it could influence the government would be that it would show that the government allows people to expose their own business as to first have a business, and then to allow for themselves to make the money and to make propaganda and other advertisements to make their company a bigger company. This shows and make a great influence in the government showing that their not as straight forward, but their really more flexible.

The development of the longbow increased the importance of the foot soldiers. The longbow arrow was longer, flew faster and farther and was more accurate in hitting its target. It could also pierce body armor.

If checks and balances didn't exist, there would be nothing stopping a group i.e. the president, from making whatever laws they wanted.
In essence, if there are no checks and balances, government is no longer a democracy because nothing prevents the group in power from doing what they want. For example, a president that wasn't checked by the opposition party could pass a law saying that they are legally allowed to be president until they die, and nobody would stop them.
