Answer: He was called out by one of the leaders over the speakers, and was told that the snacks from the activity area  were to be eaten there, not taken home.

Explanation: His parents did not know what color was, sorry :)

he brought home an apple because he thought the color was beautiful. His parents disciplined him because at that age he shouldn't have been able to see color
