Why couldn’t colonists use indentured servants as they had in the past

I believe colonists stopped using indentured servants as they had in the past because it wasn't profitable anymore. Indentured servants came to America of their own free will, and they were being paid for their work, however small that amount may have been. On the other hand, this was the time when slavery in America began, and slaves worked for free, so having slaves instead of indentured servants was much more lucrative.

Oh come on, don't make others write an entire essay for you.

I'll give you some ideas though!

Think of a world where supercomputers have blackmailed humanity by threatening nuclear war if there's no obedience

Think of a world where robots are so developed, the police/FBI/CIA use them to spy on each and every person

Think of a world where technology is so developed, we've trashed the environment and everything is dystopian and disgusting.

Best of luck!

NemiM [27]

Answer:

Among the options the best choice is option D.

British debt from defending the colonies in the French and Indian war.

Explanation: By 1770, Britain had established many colony in North America. In 1765 British parliament passed the Quartering act that says the colonists have to pay for the soldiers stationed on the colonies. But the colonists did not see any important reason to station extra soldiers in the area. Moreover the King thought that the debt of  Britain due to the colonial French and Indian should be paid by the colonies. As a result Great Britain imposed extra taxes on colonists as a way of recovering from debts created by the war.
