Quantity of paint left = \frac{389}{480} gallons

Solution:

Quantity of yellow paint = 1\frac{1}{5}=\frac{6}{5} gallons

Quantity of green paint = 1\frac{1}{6}=\frac{7}{6} gallons

Quantity of blue paint = \frac{7}{8} gallons

Quantity of paint used = \frac{3}{4} gallons of each paint

Quantity of paint left = 1-\frac{3}{4}=\frac{1}{4} gallons of each paint

Quantity of paint left = (\frac{6}{5}+\frac{7}{6}+\frac{7}{8})\times\frac{1}{4}

Taking LCM for 5, 6, 8, we get LCM = 120

(\frac{6}{5}+\frac{7}{6}+\frac{7}{8})\times\frac{1}{4}=(\frac{144}{120}+\frac{140}{120}+\frac{105}{120})\times\frac{1}{4}

                         =(\frac{389}{120})\times\frac{1}{4}

                         =\frac{389}{480}

Hence, Mark will have \frac{389}{480} gallons of paint left after painting the mural.

A) We know the domain(x values) is between -10 to infinity

B) We know the range(y values) is between -6 to infinity

C) Next we know f(0) = f(4) = 0
So we know when x = 0  that f(0) = 0 or we can say  y = 0. We also know when f(4) = 0 so when x = 4 y = 0. So we have two points (0,0) and (4,0) that our function will be on so plot the two points (0,0) (4,0)

D) It tells us that f(x) (y) is increasing between the x values (-10,-6)  or (-2,2) or (4, to infinity)
