When African Americans fought in WWII they were treated by the French (and others as well) with respect and did not feel as though they were being segregated. Therefore when they came back to the states they was a rise in militancy from the African American veterans. Although during the 1940's the United States was occupied with the Cold War it was not until 1955 that the civil right movement had began, leading to African American's challenging the court with issues such as Brown vs. Board of education in 1954. Were medieval manors nearly self sufficient
lina2011 [118]
This mostly depended on the fertility of the soil nearby the manor, the amount of serfs a lord had and the trade that he had set up with other manors. The reason for this is that if a manor had fertile soil, the lord had set up ample trade between manors, and therewere enough serfs to work on the land, they were pretty much self-suficient. However, if these things were lacking, then self-sufficiency was not necessarily achieved.

Sea level increases when the number and size of glaciers on Earth increase.

True
False
exis [7]

The correct answer is false.

It is false that sea level increases when the number and size of glaciers on Earth increase.

It is exactly the opposite. Sea levels increase when the big glaciers melt. That glacier was frozen water and when it melts down that huge amount of water goes back to the oceans, increasing its level. Global warming is a big factor in the melting of the ice caps in the poles, and this is alarming scientists that tried to create consciousness in major power governments to do something to combat global warming.
