The Indian Ocean trade routes used the geography to their advantage by utilizing the several islands along the way. The increased ports allowed for more goods to be traded, trade began over the Sahara desert as the Chinese people sent out envoys to scope the land. (Hope this helped you) :)

These Jewish leaders decided not to enter Pontius Pilate's palace for the main reason that there was a misunderstanding between them and the Roman captives of Jesus. Due to their disbelief on the situation, they shouted insults to Pilate and told him that they will not enter his Palace, therefore, Pilate decided to come outside and talk to them.
