-2(7n-6)+n=-3-8n

multiply the bracket by -2

-2(7n)-2(-6)+n= -3-8n

-14n+12+n= -3-8n

-14n+n+12= -3-8n

-13n+12= -3-8n

Move -8n to the other side. Sign changes from -8n to 8n.

-13n+8n+12= -3-8n+8n

-5n+12= -3

move +12 to the other side

sign changes from +12 to -12

-5n+12-12= -3-12

-5n= -15

Divide by -5

-5n/-5= -15/-5

n= 3

Answer : n= 3

Complete the equation of the line through (-10,-7) and (-5, -9).<br>Use exact numbers,
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

y=\frac{-5}{2}*x + 18

Step-by-step explanation:

A line in 2-dimensional space has the following general equation:

y=m*x+b

Where m is the slope of the line, and b just a number

the slope can be obtaine using th following formula:

m=\frac{x_{2} - x_{1} }{y_{2} - y_{1}}

The point 2 is the one with the smallest value for x, that is (-10,-7) and the Point 1 is any other that belongs to the line, in this case, (-5,-9)

m=\frac{-5 - (-10) }{-9 - (-7)}

Resulting that \frac{-5}{2}

To find the other term we can use any other point, I prefer us the first one so...

We have the following equation:

-7=\frac{-5}{2}*(-10)+b

Resulting that b=18

I just have to eval the point (-10,-7) in the equation stated at the beginning  knowin that m was calculated previously.

MATH. Simplify x+7=2
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

x=-5

Step-by-step explanation:

When finding x, we basically have to isolate the variable. By isolating the variable, usually doing the opposite operation helps it.

Addition is the opposite of Subtraction

Multiplication is the opposite of Division

Let's dive into this problem!

x+7=2

(we need to isolate x. basically we need to get rid of this 7. How do we do this? since it is added by seven, we can subtract it by both sides to get rid of it on the x side.)

x+7=2

  -7 -7

x=-5

(subtract 2-(-5), this adds to -5)

This is your final answer.
