Answer:

Puzzling questions actually! I always considered the fact that all circles are similar by definition. Wanting to give it a rationale tho, if two shapes are similar, the lenght of one is scaled by the sides ratio, and their surface is scaled by the square of the ratio(easiest to see with triangles, if you pick two triangles, where the second's lenght are twice the first, second's perimeter is twice the first, and the area is four times the first); and it's true the opposite: if two shapes have their border and surface with said ratios, the two are similar.

Now, be K the ratio between the radii, or \frac rs = K.

The lenght of the first circomference will be 2\pi r, and the lenght of the second 2\pi s The ratio between the two will be\frac{2\pi r}{2\pi s} = \frac {2 \pi Ks}{2\pi s} = K

The area of the first circle will be \pi r^2, while the area of the second is \pi s^2. Their ratio is, as before, \frac{\pi r^2}{\pi s^2} =\frac{\pi (Ks)^2}{\pi s^2} = K^2

That might prove that the two are similar.

Jimmy purchased a package of jelly beans that contained 75 jellybeans. Out of the 75 jellybeans, 8 are pink, 17 are orange, 22 a
Luba_88 [7]

Find completion to question in comment section.

Answer:

D. One of the jellybeans that slipped out was orange and one was black

Step-by-step explanation:

We calculate the option with the highest probability of occurrence :

Total number of jellybean = 75

n(T) =75

n(Pink) = 8

n(red) = 22

n(Orange) = 17

n(green) = 8

n(white) = 6

n(black) = 4

We assume that the jelly beans must have slipped out one after the other.

Evaluating the options :

A.)

P(pink) and P(white)

8/75 * 6/74 = 0.0086486

B.)

P(green) and P(green)

8/75 * 7/74 = 0.0100900

C.)

P(white) and P(white)

6/75 * 5/74 = 0.0054054

D.)

P(orange) and P(black)

17/75 * 4/74 = 0.0122522

From the probability values obtained, the highest is D. Hence, the most likely to have occurred is One of the jellybeans that slipped out was orange and one was black

Alma charges $97 for a job that takes 2 hours and $187 for a job that takes 4 hours. Write an equation in slope-intercept form t
lara [203]

Answer:

<em>y</em> = 45<em>x</em> + 7

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given data, we have ordered pairs (2, 97) and (4, 187). We can use them to find the slope, as such:

m=\frac{187-97}{4-2}=\frac{90}{2}=45

We can then use the slope and one of the ordered pairs to find the y-intercept, as such:

y=mx+b\\97=45(2)+b\\97=90+b\\7=b

Therefore, <em>m</em> = 45 and <em>b</em> = 7. We get the equation:

<em>y</em> = <em>mx</em> + <em>b</em>

<em>y</em> = 45<em>x</em> + 7
