The setting of the novel "Sense and Sensibility," by Jane Austen, basically happens in the English countryside. "Sense and Sensibility" was distributed amid the Regency time frame, which occurred between 1795-1837. Around this period England saw numerous adjustments in writing and different expressions, which may have stirred Austen to enjoy her love for composing. Rather than being variants of modern romantic stories related to a historical background, Regency sentiments are a particular kind with their own plot and expressive traditions. Specifically, the more conventional Regencies include a lot of wise, quick-paced dialogues between the heroes and almost no comment over sexual attributes. Anyhow, it should also not be named a Victorian epic, because if that would be the case, it will be an extremely age-old example of the issues present in “Sense and Sensibility”, with respect to ladies.

Moreover, this regency romantic work incorporate more social realism and modern portrayal of the characters. This implies that their general setting is in Regency England, however the plot, portrayal, or composition style of the work stretches out to convey set guidelines of the past Romantic era. Characters act according to modern time values.

It bridges the gap between the Romantic period and Regency as it features praise and incorporates realism too.
