skad [1K]

Answer:

The settlers at albermarle had to deal with an environment that is covered by swamps.  But they managed to utilize the natural resource in this environment and use it for their benefit.

First, they build their economy based on the sales of woods. Trees such as oak, cedar, and pine grows really well in that area. They can use them to built their own home or sell them to merchants who were involved in construction or shipping business.

The swamp also can be used as a method of transportation. They used boats to carried out their products to other place. On top of that, there's a wide variety of fishes that are pretty popular in this type of environment.  Fishes such as  bass, trout, bluefish, and sturgeon tend to be really popular in the market.
