If they both want to earn an additional $735 dollars each, how many additional hours will each spend mowing lawns? Explain.

So to find the number of dollars per lawn, we divide the number of lawns by the number of monies each got so

taryn mowed 9 and got 112.5 so 112.5/9= how much per lawn=12.5 per lawn
taryn charges 12.5 per lawn

alistair mowed 7 lawns and got 122.5 so 122.5/7= how much per lawn=17.5 per lawn
alistair charges 17.5 per lawn


so taryn mowed 9  lawns in 7.5 hours and got 112.5 or 112.5 per 7.5 hours
to find how much per hour you divide 112.5 by 7.5 and get 15 dollars per hour
t=15 per hour
so we want to find out how many more hours t has to work to earn 735 more we just divide 735 by the rate (15) and find the number of hours so 735/15=49
t has to work 49 more hours to earn 735 more


Alistar=5 hours and 122.5 so 122.5/5=how much per hour=24.5
a=24.5 per hour
so we divide 735 by the rate (24.5) and get the number of hours
735/24.5=30
