When you are finding the kinetic energy, it is best to keep this formula in mind.

Ek = 1/2mv²

Where m is mass and v is velocity. Basically sub the numbers in to find the kinetic energy for each. In this case, subbing all the numbers, the smallest change in kinetic energy is the Lineman with a kinetic energy of just 540N.

A polypeptide in a wild type microbe contains the sequence Leu-Pro-Tyr-Ser-Pro. A phenotypic variant of the species has the pept
Katen [24]

Answer:

The mentioned case is an illustration of the missense mutation. A missense mutation is a kind of nonsynonymous substitution, that is, it is a mutation in which a variation in a solitary nucleotide leads to the formation of a codon, which encrypts for a distinct kind of amino acid.

When a missense mutation takes place within a DNA, a modification in one of the RNA codon sequences results at the time of transcription. This change in codon will ultimately result in the formation of a different amino acid, which gets presented within a protein at the time of translation. Like in the given case, a change in codon resulted in the substitution of the amino acid tyrosine with an amino acid cysteine.

What is waters role in light reactions
lisov135 [29]

Answer:

water act as a reactant in light reaction.

Explanation:

Water undergo hydrolysis in presence of sunlight to form proton(H+) and hydroxyl ion(OH-) ion. The OH- ion liberates electron to reaction center of photosystem 1 thereby exciting the later .The excited photosystem then donates that extra electron to the primary electron acceptor and from the primary electron acceptor the electron moves through various electron carriers to generate ATP .

Basically water act as reducing agent in photosynthesis process.

A neuron that carries information away from the central nervous system
Stels [109]

Answer:

Axon also called nerve fiber carries information away from the central nervous system

Explanation:

Neurons have their own structure whose main parts are the nucleus, cell body, and dendrites. There are many connections between neurons thanks to axons or small branches.

Axons help create a network whose function is to transmit messages from neuron to neuron. This process is called a synapse, which is the joining of axons to pulses with a velocity of 0.001 seconds.

Help please! Describe the process of natural selection and how it affects hummingbird populations.
Kipish [7]

Natural selection has 4 processes.

Individuals looks different and have different characteristics from another within their own species (genetic variation). Some characteristics suits better for the environment, which has to be passed on from one generation to the next. The humming birds with long bills will mate with those that have that too so they'll produce offspring with long bills.

The second process is over production of offspring. The humming birds produces lots of offspring but only a few survives.

Another factor of natural selection is struggle for existence, which leads to differential survival and reproduction. There are environmental pressures, like not having enough space or food, for example, humming birds compete fiercely for resources like nectar. Natural selection will favor individuals that are more efficient at getting nectar and natural selection will result in changes in wing shape which can allow them to fly longer distance and affect the length and shape of bill for them to drink nectar. Little changes may affect how well they feed and survive. Those who are the fittest survives and are most likely to reproduce and pass on their advantageous genes to their offspring. If the long bills are more advantageous and can survive better in a particular environment, then overtime, those with short bills will disappear because they can't survive and the entire population would have long bills.
