The correct answer is D) Production boosted the economy, which helped lift the US out of the Great Depression.

The US was suffering through the worse economic depression in American history during the 1930's. However, thanks to America's involvement in World War II, the US military needed a significant amount of resources in order to be successful. This demands for goods caused businesses to hire more workers. This helped to decrease unemployment rates and resulted in more people having money within the US. This helped millions of American citizens to recover from the Great Depression.

Write a 7-15 sentence review on the Korean War
alexandr1967 [171]
The Korean War was largely a symptom of the greater Cold War between Western and Communist forces. The United States entered the war when it became apparent that democratic, capitalist South Korea was going to lose to Communist North Korea. The United States not only pushed North Korea back the original borders between the two Koreas, but continued to push northward under the direction of General Douglas McArthur.

This turned out to be a poor decision, drawing in communist China, who feared encirclement by the United States and her allies (Korea shares its northern border with China). China's involvement was devastating, sending hundreds of thousands of troops into the Korean peninsula and pushing the western alliance southward. The clash between these powerful forces eventually resulted in a ceasefire along the 38th parallel, the original border between the two Koreas. It is a ceasefire that still holds to this day.

The Korean War had many interesting and far-reaching consequences, including the protection of South Korea which went on to become one of the most prosperous countries in the world. It also led, several decades later, the nuclear crisis which the world finds itself in today.

It you are Hernando Cortes. How should you deal with the native inhabitants of the Americas?
telo118 [61]

Answer:

Ideally, Hernan Cortes should try to establish peaceful alliances with the Native Americans, as hard as this might be. The problem is that the Aztecs were at war with many other tribes, and it would have been incredibly hard for Cortes to form an alliance among them.

Another problem is that Cortes and his Spanish companions were bringing diseases for which the Native Americans had no antibodies, so it is likely that many Native Americans would have died no matter what Cortes and the Spaniards did.
