The 6 is in the ones place, as it goes left to right.  Just like in decimals.  2 is in the hundreds -2 hundred- 1 is in the tenths -10- and 6 is in the ones.. making it out to say two hundred sixteen.  (I know you probaly already knew some of that information, but it would have killed me if I hadnt explained myself fully.
