Answer:

C: the turbines are too large

Explanation:

Wind energy is a very clean source of energy and it is very economical compared to burning of coal for producing electricity. Wind energy does not cause pollution compared to burning of coal that release harmful gases like CO(carbon(i)oxide) . wind energy are converted directly to electricity by the generator  for immediate usage.

Wind energy is renewable and sustainable and a very clean source of energy compare to burning of coal.

The only disadvantage over burning of coal is that the turbines are too large.

Personally I would say it's A (apart from the installation costs which may make it a little expensive) but it does involve certain aspects of D also as wind energy doesn't cause pollution. So either A or D!

Hope I was of help! :)

Where along the 48 states is plate collision currently taking place?
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

Sometimes an entire ocean closes as tectonic plates converge, causing blocks of thick continental crust to collide. A collisional mountain range forms as the crust is compressed, crumpled, and thickened even more. The effect is like a swimmer putting a beach ball under his or her belly—the swimmer will rise up considerably out of the water. The highest mountains on Earth today, the Himalayas, are so high because the full thickness of the Indian subcontinent is shoving beneath Asia.

The Appalachian Mountains formed during a collision of continents 500 to 300 million years ago. In their prime they probably had peaks as high as those in the modern zone of continental collision stretching from the Himalayas in Asia to the Alps in Europe. But over the past 300 million years, the Appalachians have eroded to more modest heights.

Explain how the increasing use of fossils fuels and changes in agriculture may have contributed to global changes in temperature
kati45 [8]

Answer:

The manufacture and use of these releases another greenhouse gas to the atmosphere, nitrous oxide. Therefore, increased use of fossil fuels and changes in agriculture have both contributed to the increase in global temperatures because they have both caused the release of more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
