Answer:

Nonviolent protest could cause changes to segregation policies.

Explanation:

The Montgomery Bus Boycott started with the arrest of Rosa Parks, an African American women who refused to give up her seat on a public bus to a white man. This movement was supported by the NAACP and called on all black citizens of Montgomery to not take the bus. The goal was to not use the public buses until the city of Montgomery allowed black citizens to sit wherever they want.

This boycott went on for almost an entire year and ended up costing the city of Montgomery thousands of dollars in revenue. This is due to the fact that many of the people who used public transportation were African American. This resulted in the city changing their bus policies, showing how effective peaceful protests can be in changing segregationist laws.

Discrimination against black people.

Further Explanation

The Montgomery bus boycott case began because a man named Rosa Parks refused to give his seat to a white man. The incident took place in Montgomery, Alabama, on December 1, 1955. His ignorance towards the racist attitude of the bus driver then took a long tail until his arrest for violating racial laws in force at the time. However, this action also triggered one of America's biggest movements to oppose racial segregation that occurred at that time. His actions were considered against the law of racial segregation in his city. The successful bus boycott movement was initially initiated by a young minister named Martin Luther King, Jr., who was then followed by actions of non-compliance of citizens such as Park. The boycott occurred for more than one year. The boycotters ride in the car or walk to school and work. With a percentage of African Americans accounting for 70 percent of all Montgomery bus passengers, the transportation system has collapsed during the boycott. But once the discrimination against black people is not over, there are still many racism and segregation practices in the southern United States. The segregation is approved by public facilities for whites and blacks, and that is known as 'Separate but Equal'. In addition, black countries do not have political rights and are not equal before the law of black people themselves. Parks is a longtime member of the Montgomery branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), where he joined in 1943. At the time of his arrest, he was the local NAACP secretary, and the previous summer he attended a workshop for social and economic justice in Tennessee's Highlander Folk School. His political activism continued through various boycotts for the rest of his life. After Parks died at the age of 92 on October 24, 2005, he received the last honor usually reserved for state and military leaders when his body was taken to the U.S. Capitol rotunda. More than 30,000 people passed through the coffin to pay their last respects. On December 1, 2005, the public transport authority in New York City, Washington, D.C. and other American cities symbolically vacated the rear seats to commemorate Rosa Parks' civil disobedience.

What do you think the missionaries could have done in order to prevent the failure of the East Texas missions
patriot [66]

Answer:

The missionaries could have tried a more friendly approach with the natives, besides having tried to make alliances with the French.

Explanation:

The missions promoted by the Spanish in the east in Texas had as main objective to expel the French from the region, to convert natives and to make the place safe for the establishment of borders.

Although a few borders were established, the missions were not successful. The natives had friendly relations with the French, which meant that the Spanish missions were not strong enough to expel them. Furthermore, the missionaries' approach to the Indians was not accepted with friendliness, but it did establish a strong conflict between natives and Spaniards.
