Explain how you measure Enzyme activity within the graduated cylinder?
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

You measure the oxygen level in the graduated cylinder

Explanation:

For example, after setting up the apparatus, you will then measure the amount of O2 collected in the graduated cylinder after one minute. If the amount of O2 produced after one minute of reaction time is 32 mL, then the enzyme activity is: 32 mL/1 min= 32 mL/min.

How is pseudoscience different from science
inn [45]

Answer: I guess you can say pseudoscience is "fake science" in science.

Explanation:In conclusion, ancient astronomers think that aliens had made civilization on earth. The key detail they are missing is that there was no evidence so this causes their claim to be pseudoscience. You may have a claim but can you back it up with evidence and reasoning or in other words can you show that your claim and evidence connect with a reasoning?

Whole-genome sequencing can be used for advances in:
Mariana [72]

Answer:

all of the above

Explanation:

When the human genome was sequenced, one of the first information generated was related to the structure of the genetic material. For example, it has been found that there are long repeated sequences in different parts of the DNA or regulatory parts of its functioning in other parts of the genetic material itself.

When determining the order of nucleotides of a living being and comparing it with others of the same species, we find some regions that accumulate more differences than others, that is, are more diverse than others. Very similar sequences, that is, conserved in all living beings of the same species, can determine essential characteristics of these organisms. These essential characteristics can be very important for many different sectors and improve the lives of humanity in unimaginable ways.

The discoveries made through the complete sequencing of a genome can cause immense improvements in the fields of medicine, agriculture, biofuels and many other fields.

In what ways has genetic engineering been used in agriculture to increase the amount of harvested food?
Romashka [77]

Answer:

By the process of extraction of better DNA and then combining that with another DNA.

Explanation:

There are many definitions of genetic engineering, but in short, from all definition, it can be said that genetic engineering is the extraction of DNA of any organism's genome and then combine it with the genome of another organism.

Now let's come, how it helps in agriculture.

Suppose you have a rice variety named A, which gives less yield or harvested food. Along with this, it has long leaves, which you don't like. You heard about another rice variety named B, which has short leaves and gives more yields or harvested food than your ones. Now you want to get the character of variety B in your variety A. Genetic engineering will help you to do this. How? Please read below:

Scientists at first take that part of DNA from variety B, which is responsible for short leaves and more yield. Then they cut that using restriction enzyme. After that, they will combine it with the DNA of variety A. Before combining, they will remove the gene which is responsible for long leaves and less yield. For combining the DNA of B variety, they will use the DNA ligase enzyme.

After that, they will keep it in-vitro condition means under a controlled environment so that the new variety named C can produce. After producing variety C, they will test its compatibility with soil in their experimental field. If the result is positive, then they make a test on the different types of soil. If the result is positive for all soils, they will release it as a new variety.

This is applicable to livestock too. Scientists cut the DNA using the restriction enzyme and then combine it using the ligase enzyme. Then they produced an improved one.

Genetic engineering helps in this way in agriculture to increase the amount of harvested food

Precise measurements are important for scientific accuracy. Use the game to explain why precise measurement of reactants is impo
lys-0071 [83]

Answer: Precise measurements are important for Scientific Accuracy in order to get correct results

Explanation:

Precision is how close the Agreement is between repeated measurements under the same conditions. For example, if a measured value 36.7cm has three digits, or significant figures. Significant figures indicate the precision of a measuring tool that was used to measure a value

Accuracy is how close a measurement is to the correct value for that measurement.

When taking scientific measurements it is very important to be both precise and accurate. Bad equipment, human error can give inaccurate results.
