Alja [10]

Answer:

the guards became more aggressive.

Explanation:

Psychologist Philip Zimbardo and his colleagues conducted an experiment to figure out if the violence documented by guards in American prisons was due to their sadistic nature or had something to do with the prison environment. Although prisoners and guards were permitted to communicate in any way they chose, the encounters were violent and therefore some volunteers have to be released soon. The guards started to act in ways that were violent and hostile towards the prisoners, whilst the prisoners became passive and discouraged.

The tuskegee syphilis study was ethically problematic because ________.
mel-nik [20]
1932’s the year the Tuskegee Syphilis Study was initiated. This study created a very controversial issue because it was morally and ethically wrong on many levels. This study put human lives or human rights aside and without proper consent withheld treatment to those who needed them. Eventually, these caused the deaths or serious physical damages of a large portion of 399 men. Although, laws or outlines guiding ethical procedures for human experimtentation were not yet available during those times when the study was conducted, it is known and we are taught since we were all young that lying is in no way correct. Many believed that the study should have been terminated from the beginning taken that even if the doctors did not believe that the conducted study was morally and ethically wrong to lie just to get patients to participate in the study. From the beginning, the participants had the right to know what were the procedures given to them and at the same time they should have the knowledge on the complete processes the study will undergo. At the moment, protocols are made to mandate of putting human life above the scientific experiments. To ensure that human lives will never be put again in compromise, guidelines are implemented to make sure that studies like Tuskegee Syphilis Study will never happen again.
