The reader can tell this passage is written in the third-person omniscient point of view as the narrator knows the feelings and emotions of all characters. In this case, narrator is describing not only Enrico’s father emotions by the use the phrase “His dad felt confident…” but also Enrico’s feelings as in the phrase “feeling like a failure”.

The third-person omniscient point of view is a literary resource used when narrating a story and allows the readers to know more details and a full perspective of the characters in the story.

What is paraphrasing?

Paraphrasing is actually known to be a way of stating something in a written or spoken form in other words but still maintaining the meaning of the original words and also maintaining clarity. In other words, paraphrasing should make the original words more clearer and easy to be understood.

When paraphrasing, it is important to include the important words and avoid distorting the original words.

Paraphrasing is another way of summarizing a passage in an effective way. It is very compulsory that during paraphrasing, the writer writes all in his/her own words. Paraphrasing is usually done to avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism is not acceptable.
