Answer:

A. Adidas must pay $200,000 at maturity plus 20 interest payments of $8,000 each.

Explanation:

Hi, well it doesn´t matter what the proceeds are, since the bond could be sold at prime (money higher that its face value) or discount (less than its face value), what is really important is the written conditions of this financial instrument, I mean, if a bond has a par value of $200,000, is a 10 year obligation (20 semesters obligation) and pays 8% in coupons (that is typically 8%/2 =4% semi-annual), means that for 20 semesters the issuer of the bond is obligated to pay, $8,000 (this is face value*coupon rate, 200,000*0.04), and when the bond matures (20th semester) the issuer will pay its face value (in our case $200,000) plus the coupon ($8,000).

So, this is what the issuer pays.

From semester 1 to 19 =$8,000

last semester or semester 20 = $208,000

Now, we can check this result by finding the price of this bond, and even though the question does not detail the nature of the discount rate, we have to assume that is 7.5% compounded semi-annually, that is 3.75% effective semi-annually (just take 7.5% and divided by 2). With the following formula, you can find the price of this bond.

Price=\frac{Coupon((1+YTM)^{n}-1) }{YTM(1+YTM)^{n} } +\frac{FaceValue}{(1+YTM)^{n} }

Price=\frac{8,000((1+0.0375)^{20}-1) }{0.0375(1+0.0375)^{20} } +\frac{200,000}{(1+0.0375)^{20} } =111,169.63+95,778.47=206,948.10

Best of luck.

Vilka [71]

Answer:

Mack, Marianne, and Martin

Explanation:

Based on the information provided within the question it can be said that in this scenario if the bank dishonors the check St. Mark can look for recovery from Mack, Marianne, and Martin. This is due to the fact that they all endorsed the check. This is because by endorsing the check you are signing the back of it which means that you are making it payable to someone else, and if the check is not accepted you are taking responsibility for paying that person. Which Mack, Marianne, and Martin all endorsed the check.

All of the following are steps to help you be a good problem solver except:
andriy [413]
I would say that all of the following are steps to help you be a good problem solver except B and C. You need to define the problem and then set about creating solutions. For example, if it is becoming too expensive to haul ore out of an open pit because it its too deep so the haulage costs are prohibitive, then a  potential solution involves decreasing haulage costs by shortening the haul which can be resolved by extending in pit conveyors and crusher down close to the ore deep within the pit.

From the question, we are informed that a customer has a fully paid options position and is long marginable stock and that subsequently he receives a margin call on his long stock position.

The statements that are true are that the customer cannot borrow against the long options contracts to satisfy the margin call and the long option contracts have a loan value of 0%.

Elan Coil [88]

Open book management is the practice of sharing with employees at all levels of an organization vital information previously meant for management's eyes only.

Open book management (OBM) is defined as empowering every employee of an organization with required knowledge about the processes, adequate training and powers to make better decisions which would help them in running a business.

Open-book management is underlined by the theory that workers are more motivated and productive when they are treated as business partners – who traditionally have access to financial data – rather than employees. Open-book management nearly always improves near-term financial results. OBM is that it makes a company stronger over the long haul.
