Which detail from Free the Children shows that there were suspicious circumstances surrounding Iqbal’s final night? As I thought

back to the brick kiln, my mind wandered from the boy to Iqbal, then back again to the boy. I asked Iqbal's mother some more questions. Then, for a moment, I looked at her sad eyes. They seemed to be so distant, so filled with pain. In his life and in his death he moved the hearts of those who heard his story. That will never be in doubt. And what had happened to the bicycle, which might have shed some light on the shooting? The police had never collected this vital piece of evidence.

Answer:

And what had happened to the bicycle, which might have shed some light on the shooting? The police had never collected this vital piece of evidence.

Explanation:

The story of Iqbal Masih, a real-life crusader of child labor, was one that inspires many youngsters to protest against the employment and exploitation of children as laborers. The case of Iqbal is of special importance.

Exchanged at the young age of four as collateral for his parents' loan from a carpet merchant, he was kept underemployment for many years. His working conditions were so bad that he escaped from the factory and with the help of some NGOs, he got an education. But he was killed at the young age of 12. During his short lifetime, he worked hard to share the plight of child laborers and spread awareness of child labor all over the world.

The excerpt from the text Free the Children which shows the suspicious circumstances of his death is the police's refusal to take the bicycle that Iqbal rode that night as a piece of evidence. Their refusal seems to suggest that there is some suspicious activity on the part of the murderers as if the death of the young boy is deemed necessary.

Answer:

A map of Africa

Explanation:

Including a map of Africa with this text would provide the best support for the details in the excerpt. In this text, we learn about the journey that Livingstone was going to undergo in Africa. Livingstone was going to explore the East side of the continent, and travel 260 miles upriver to the town of Tete. The reader would most benefit from a map in which he could trace Livingstone's journey.
