True. Brains are still developing for adolescence. Teens may rely on a part of the brain called Amygdala. Amygdala is mostly known with impulses, emotions, aggression and instinctive behavior. During puberty, the increases in estrogen and testosterone bind receptors in the limit limbic system. It does not only stimulate sex drive, but increases adolescence’ emotional volatility and impulsivity. Not that, that is the only thing they experience but changes in the brain’s reward sensitivity that occur during puberty have also been explored.
