Area of a triangle: 1/2×b×h

You have 4 triangles
2 with base of 8 and height of 2
2 with base of 8 and height of 8

Find area for each of these
A = 1/2 × 8 × 2 = 8
A = 1/2 × 8 × 8 = 32

Since you have 2 of each
8 × 2 = 16
32 × 2 = 64

Total area:
A = 16 + 64
   = 80 in²
