What is the difference between a republic and a pure democracy?
Tasya [4]

Answer:

In a pure democracy every person, that is allowed to, votes on every matter. For example, ancient Greece was a pure democracy because every eligible man voted on public problems every week. In a republic, the people vote for electives to then vote on these problems for them, but they do not vote themselves. America is a republic because we vote people into congress to then vote on laws.
