Answer:

It’s False. Carbohydrates do not contain protein.

Explanation:

Carbohydrates and Proteins are both complex biomolecules that are present in our bodies, and also the essential macronutrients needed for proper body functioning.

Carbohydrates are composed at a chemical level by carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. They are present in the brain, kidneys and heat, and are essential to provide the energy to function. You can get carbohydrates from oatmeal, beans and rice, for example.

Proteins are the macronutrients, amino acids that are also crucial in many ways to the body. The body uses it to build healthy muscle mass, bones and hair, for example. They are present in meat, eggs, nuts, etc.

A mutation in a gene for normal production of plant chlorophyll results in a plant without chlorophyll. Explain the consequences
Nezavi [6.7K]
A plant without chlorophyll would not be able to photosynthesise because chlorophyll serves to absorb sunlight, which is used to break apart the bonds in water during photosynthesis. A plant that is unable to photosynthesise is not able to create glucose, hence it would likely die unless it was receiving glucose through another source. This is because the plant relies on the energy it gets from breaking down glucose for important internal functions.

Solar eclipses result from the Moon blocking the Sun relative to the Earth; thus Earth, Moon and Sun all lie on a line. Lunar eclipses work the same way in a different order: Moon, Earth and Sun all on a line. In this case the Earth's shadow hides the Moon from view.

After cooking the hot dogs, your friend's mom reminds you not to leave the grill out, or the iron (Fe) in the grill will react w
sammy [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Oxygen gas and water must be present for iron to rust.

A region of the metal’s surface serves as the anode, where oxidation

occurs:

Fe(s) → Fe²⁺ (aq) + 2 e⁻

The electrons given up by iron reduce atmospheric oxygen to water at the cathode, which is another region of the same metal’s surface:

O₂ (g) + 4H⁺ (aq) + 4 e⁻ → 2 H₂O (l)

The overall redox reaction is:

2 Fe(s) + O₂(g) → 4H⁺(aq) + 2Fe²⁺ (aq) + 2 H₂O(l)

The Fe²⁺ ions formed at the anode are further oxidized by oxygen:

4 Fe²⁺ (aq) + O₂(g) 1 (4 + 2x) H₂O (l) → 2 Fe₂O₃ . xH₂O(s) + 8 H⁺(aq)

This hydrated form of iron(III) oxide is known as rust. The amount of water associated with the iron oxide varies, so we represent the formula as 2 Fe₂O₃ . xH₂O.
