The indicator which is most dependable in order to determine modified heat activity or not is the heat index.

Further Explanation:

The heat index is the index that displays a temperature which is a combination of both relative humidity and the air temperature. It is also called apparent temperature, the temperature which is actually felt by the human body.

The process by which the human body attains cooling is perspiration. It is also known as sweating. The perception of heat results in sweating which is eliminated from the body by evaporation. When the body is unable to evaporate the sweat, it cannot control the internal temperature properly. The evaporation of the sweat from the body results in a reduction of the body temperature or in other words cools down the body. When the atmospheric humidity is high, the evaporation rate drops. As a result, less heat is removed and the body feels overheated. This implies that humid conditions make the body feel warmer whereas, as the humidity goes down perspiration increases and therefore, in arid conditions the body feels cooler.

This shows a direct link between the relative humidity and the air temperature with the heat index as the heat index goes up with the increase in humidity and air temperature. Different people perceive heat differently due to their different body shapes, the difference in hydration, or metabolic differences. Therefore, heat index measurement depends on person to person and how they feel during respective humidity and temperature conditions.

Heath index chart is the best indicator you should use when determining if you should modify activity for heat. The "heat index" is a single value that looks for both temperature and humidity. The higher the heat index, the weather will feel the hotter since sweat does not immediately evaporate and cool the skin. The heat index used is much better than air temperature alone for estimating the risk to workers from environmental heat sources.

Which characteristic do all protists have?
myrzilka [38]

Answer: They all survive in any environment.

Explanation: Protists have the ability to survive in any environment, even extreme environment. They can live in the ocean, desert or extremely hot environment, or even a extremely cold environment.

I'll explain why the others aren't correct.

Protists can be both unicellular and multicellular, they're not always unicellular. Kingdom Protista contains all eukaryotics, so they're not always unicelluar.

Protist cannot make or consume food. Animals consume food, and plants make food, not protista. Yes they're many plant-like protists out there, such as algae, they get their food from the sun above. So all protists cannot make or consume food.

Protist does have flagella, but not all protists. Protists that are motile and generate movement have flagella, meaning they move. Not all protist move, like plants can't move. So, not all protists have flagella, meaning they can move.

Let me know if you have any questions.

List four "beliefs" in which evolutionary scientists place their faith when supporting the theory of evolution. Use complete sen
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:  Answers below.

Explanation: One aspect in which evolutionists place their faith in is the geological column. If you examine a chart of it, you will notice a trend. As you go deeper into the geological column, the fossils found there get more and more "simple". On the surface of the geological column, scientists have found more complex life forms. This trend suggests that organisms evolved over time, and the geological column represents this trend in chronological order. However, this data could be used against evolution as well. Therefore, it is inconclusive. If you believe the sedimentary rock formed so rapidly due to the biblical flood, this is evidence against evolution. If you believe rocks formed according to the observations of Charles Lyell, then this could be evidence for evolution. It all depends on how one interprets the data.

Another aspect in which evolutionists place their faith is something they call "intermediate links" Intermediate links are supposed to indicate a transitional form between two different creatures to show that they evolved. For example, evolutionists state that the creature Archaeopterynx is the transitional form between reptiles and birds. Another example of a transitional form found is the Australopithecus afarensis, which is supposed to be the transitional form between apes and humans due to similar bone structures and that this creature was bipedal like us humans.

Another belief evolutionists have to support the theory of evolution is the science of structural homology. Structural Homology is a science that studies similar structures in different organisms. For example, if you examined the forearms of a bat, bird, porpoise, and human, you would find that they have similar forearm structures, They all have a radius, humerus, ulna, carpals, metacarpals and phalanges. This indicates that all these creatures evolved from a common ancestor due to their strikingly similar structures.

Another aspect in which evolutionists place their faith is in the science of molecular biology. You see, all organisms contain a common protein called cytochrome C. Cytochrome c performs the same basic function in every organism. It is possible to calculate the percentage difference between the cytochrome c in each organism. Evolutionists have created a table that shows the percentage difference between a few different species of organisms. What they found appeared to indicate an evolutionary trend. However, more research shows that this data is highly flawed. If you calculate the percentage difference of this protein between a horse, pigeon, tuna, silkworm moth, wheat, the yeast and compared it to a bacterium ( the "simplest" life form) you would find that all these organisms are almost the same percent different from each other, indicating individual species rather than evolving from a common ancestor. All of these assumptions stated above can be evidence for or against evolution. It all is determined by how someone interprets these facts. I hope this helped you! Good luck :)

I need help on this biology question
vichka [17]

Limiting factors for snakes can include frogs, grasshoppers, farmers, pesticides, weather, climate, the environment, and various other abiotic and biotic factors.

Those specified however were also specified within the prompt. These are limiting factors because they can limit or help excel the snake population growth, yet in this prompt it is shown to greatly diminish the growth.

Hope this helps!
