The War 'Guilt Clause':

The War 'Guilt Clause', also known as the Article 371 of the 'Treaty of Versailles' was presented by Germany after World War 1 to reduce the sum of money that 'Germany' and its 'allies' had to pay as a compensation to other countries for the damages in the war. It stated that Germany and its allies would would take up the responsibility for all the damages the countries and its people have faced. This clause was discarded by other countries as they saw it as Germany’s negotiation to run away from the expenses.
