Answer:

If the petri plates are kept open for the longer duration of time then there are chances of cross contamination.

The contamination can be defined as growth of undesired microbes in the petri dishes or tubes which is no longer useful for the experiment.

The tube if kept open will develop the growth of contaminants in it. It can be cross contamination as well.

To avoid contamination the tubes and dishes should not be kept open for a longer duration of time.

Ls osmosis an example of passive or active transport? Explain your<br> reasoning. NEED TO KNOW ASAP
valentina_108 [34]
It is an example of Passive Transport because the process of Osmosis is where water molecules move from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower potential down a water potential gradient across a partially permeable membrane, little energy is required to carry out this process.

______ function mainly in cellular movement
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer: Microtubules function mainly in cellular movement.

  • Microtubules are responsible for a variety of cell movements, including the intracellular transport and positioning of membrane vesicles and organelles, the separation of chromosomes at mitosis, and the beating of cilia and flagella.

  • Microtubules are filamentous intracellular structures that are responsible for various kinds of movements in all eukaryotic cells. Microtubules are involved in nucleic and cell division, organization of intracellular structure, and intracellular transport, as well as ciliary and flagellar motility.
