What happened when President Harry Truman seized control of industry during the Korean War?
V125BC [204]

Answer:

Correct answer is C, "The Supreme Court justices declared that his actions were without basis in law or the Constitution" in the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer case.

Explanation:

President Harry Truman seized steel mills in order to guarantee ammunition supplies for the Korean War by avoiding an imminent strike of steelworkers. He was also told that atomic weapons projects would be impacted and in the long run, this could create the possibility for Soviet aggression.

The Korean War lasted from 1950 to 1953 and it was the first time that American forces fought directly against communist forces -- China, that had gone through a Communist revolution in 1949, supported North Korea.

The national government and the state governments share the same powers. true or false
olasank [31]
It's a tricky question at least for me, because both national government and state governments do share (some) powers but not all because a state is its own state with it's laws and regulations. Though, the majority of what the national government and the state government shares together are important but also basic. So, I'd say yes.
