You basically gotta find the area of the whole pizza (a circle) then divide it by 3
The area of a circle is pir^2
3.14x6^2=113.04
113.04/3= 37.68 inches^2

Area of the pizza = πr²
Area of the pizza = π(6)²           // using the calculator π
Area of the pizza = 113.10 in² (nearest hundredth)

You share the pizza with 3 friends, so we need to cut the pizza into 4 pieces.

4 pieces = 113.10 in²
1 piece = 113.10 ÷ 4
1 piece = 28.27 in²

Answer: Each piece of pizza will be 28.27 in².

Find the unknown side length x.
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

x = \sqrt{65}

Step-by-step explanation:

The altitude of the triangle must equal 4 because it is a right triangle with another leg of 3 and a hypotenuse of 5 (reason is due to the pythagorean theorem)

Therefore, the triangle on the right has legs of 4 and 7 and, again, use the phythagorean theorem to find 'x' (the hypotenuse)

4^{2} + 7^{2} = x^{2}

16 + 49 = x^{2}

65 = x^{2}

x = sq rt 65
