The marketing department of a sports supply store wants to estimate the percentage of adults in the town who belong to a gym.
velikii [3]
A) If you only sample people in a sports supply store, your sample will be biased.  People in a sports supply store are more likely to be people that belong to a gym.
B) While it does not have necessarily the same amount of bias as sampling people in the sports supply store, people that go to a park are generally more likely to be people that exercise or have a gym membership.
C) Taking a random sample of people in town is a good way to get a non-biased sample.  They are not necessarily predisposed to answer your question one way or another.
D) For the same reason as choice A, this is a biased sample.

C is the best choice.

This is what I need to know
I am Lyosha [343]
\bf \begin{array}{ccllll}
\$&minutes\\
\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash&\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash\textendash\\
920,000&46,000,000\\
x&1
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{920,000}{1}=\cfrac{46,000,000}{x}
so solve for "x", to see how much is the company paying for the purchase of 1 minute

now, they're plan to sell the minute for 8cents, how much is the profit?
that is, the difference from their cost of the cents to the planned selling price.

bear in mind, is 46,000,000 minutes, so whatever value you get for 1minute,
you need to multiply it for 46,000,000 to get the actual cost.

and the revenue from the sell of 8cents per minute, is of course, 8 * 46,000,000

profit = revenue - cost

-7.4r - 6.31 = 3.23 - 5.6r
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

r=−5.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

−7.4r−6.31=3.23−5.6r

−7.4r+−6.31=3.23+−5.6r

−7.4r−6.31=−5.6r+3.23

Step 2: Add 5.6r to both sides.

−7.4r−6.31+5.6r=−5.6r+3.23+5.6r

−1.8r−6.31=3.23

Step 3: Add 6.31 to both sides.

−1.8r−6.31+6.31=3.23+6.31

−1.8r=9.54

Step 4: Divide both sides by -1.8.

−1.8r/−1.8=9.54/−1.8

r=−5.3
