Identifying write a paragraph explaining why the caravel was an important development for european explorers
sergij07 [2.7K]
A caravel is a type of ship made from a single stern caste. These types of ships were used by the Europeans for their explorations of different lands unknown to them during the early days. Up to this day, the way a caravel looks is still debatable and historians are yet to find their answers. Through time these caravels were reliable because they can be easily maneuvered, their speed was incredible and yet they perform safe in the waters. The caravels gained their fame through the Spanish and Portuguese voyages that discovered lands far from their imaginations. Columbus was also said to have owned caravels during his time at sea and he named his ships Niña and Pinta. He admired them so great because of their speed and how easy it is to control at sea.

What is it important that the soviet union launched the space satellite?
mixas84 [53]
"The Sputnik launch changed everything. As a technical achievement, Sputnik caught the world's attention and the American public off-guard. Its size was more impressive than Vanguard's intended 3.5-pound payload. In addition, the public feared that the Soviets' ability to launch satellites also translated into the capability to launch ballistic missiles that could carry nuclear weapons from Europe to the U.S. Then the Soviets struck again; on November 3, Sputnik II was launched, carrying a much heavier payload, including a dog named Laika.
The Sputnik launch also led directly to the creation of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). In July 1958, Congress passed the National Aeronautics and Space Act (commonly called the "Space Act"), which created NASA as of October 1, 1958 from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) and other government agencies."- https://history.nasa.gov/sputnik/

What was one reason that Patriots were more willing to go to war with Britain than the Loyalists? (5 points)
ozzi

Answer:

d ) Patriots were more likely than Loyalists to believe in the idea of consent of the governed.

Explanation:

The first thing you would understand is that Loyalists were called Loyalists because they supported the rules of Great Britain. If they supported staying as a colony, why would they have any will in the first place to "go to war" with Great Britain if they are contend with the status they hold during the time? The only group that wanted to go to war was the Patriot group, not the Loyalist group.
