Answer: Construct a cDNA library, using mRNA from human lens cells, to have many copies of crystallin mRNAs

Explanation:

Proteins are molecules produced by a process called translation, which uses a RNA molecule. RNA is a Ribonucleic acid synthesized from DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid), which contains the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all living organism, and it is also responsible for hereditary transmission. Then, in the lens of the eye, the necessary DNA gene is transcribed to form messenger RNA, that will give rise to the crystallin protein. So, the "central dogma of biology" establishes that genetic information flows in the following direction: DNA → RNA→ proteins.

To clone such a gene, it is necessary to use a cDNA library. Complementary DNA (cDNA) is a double-stranded DNA molecule produced by an enzyme called reverse transcriptase, in which one of its strands constitutes a sequence that is fully complementary to the messenger RNA from which it has been synthesized. It is often used for the cloning of eukaryotic cell-specific genes because, given the nature of their synthesis, it lacks introns.

Therefore, as a source of this cDNA for the library, scientists use the transcribed mRNA that already went through the splicing process in which those introns that do not encode protein are removed. And thus the cDNA synthesized from this mRNA only possesses the gene of interest, without useless sequences.

In addition, RNA is chemically unstable, so that in an aqueous solution it is easily hydrolyzed. On the other hand, this does not happen with DNA, which is a stable molecule and that is why cDNA and not mRNA is used to build the library.

Oxidative phosphorylation occurs during
tangare [24]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-A.

Explanation:

Oxidative phosphorylation is a process which leads to the formation of ATP molecule. During oxidative phosphorylation, the transfer of electrons from reducing equivalents like NADH and FADH₂ formed during cellular respiration to oxygen leads to the formation of ATP.

Since oxidative phosphorylation involves the transfer of electrons from these equivalents through the electron transport chain which takes place in the inner membrane space of mitochondria. Therefore, oxidative phosphorylation and electron transport chain are interlinked.

Thus, option-A is the correct answer.

D.H., a 54-year-old resort owner, has had multiple chronic medical problems, including type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) for 25 year
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

Chances are, you haven't infected the bacteria in a hospital setting or surgery, as you could have contacted them anywhere.

What happened with said patient was the face of the immunosuppressive treatment, the defense of the patient was decreased and it generated a worse picture with a bacterium that would not act in such a pathogenic way in another person who does not receive corticosteroid treatment.

This deduction could be made since prior to pneumonia and meningitis there were other infections that occurred in the patient indicating immunosuppression or lowered immunity, which were alerts for professionals.

Explanation:

The immunosuppression generated by corticosteroids is an adverse effect of said drug, thus causing bacteria or other pathogenic microorganisms to more easily generate lethal diseases that occur, similar to the human immuno-insufficiency syndrome.

These pneumonias and meningitis are very common in children but not in adults, which means that the defense of acquired immunity throughout life would not be serious.

In patients like these where corticosteroids suppress the path of humoral defense factors, thus inhibiting the presence of COX and thromboxane A2 in the immune lineage, that is why the immunological tests are weakened and the bacteria have more spread or harmful effects such as this patient.

The bacterium does not indicate that it is intra-surgical or hospital-based because of the severity of the disease it triggered, but because the patient is immunosuppressed.
