-3(x-5)=45

What is 36 divide by 837
Dominik [7]
You want to take 837 out of 36.
you can get 837 out of 3 0 times so you tack on the 6(0)
you get 837 out of 36 0 times so you tack on a zero(00)
Because you are adding a 0, you are now creating a decimal
you get 837 out of 360 0 times so you tack on a 0 (00.0)
You get 837 out of 3600 4 times so you put the 4 after the 0s (00.04)
Now you multiply 4 and 837 to get 3,348 and take that away from 3600 to get 252
Not you tack on a 0.
You get 837 out of 2520 3 times so you tack the 3 on behind the 4. (0.043)
Because of significant digits, your answer is 0.043

It takes 3/5 feet of ribbon to make a pin. You have 9 feet of ribbon. How many pins can you make?
Troyanec [42]
You can divide 9 by \frac{3}{5} to find the amount of pins, (let's call this number x), you can make with 9 $ ft$ of ribbon.

x=9 \div \frac{3}{5} \\ \\  x= \frac{9}{1} \div \frac{3}{5} \\ \\ x= \frac{9}{1} \times \frac{5}{3} \\ \\ x= \frac{9 \times 5}{1 \times 3} \\ \\ x= \frac{45}{3} \\ \\ x=15

So, 15 pins can be made.

Which expressions represent a quadratic expression in factored form?
Bingel [31]

Answer:

3 and 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Well to start we have to know that they are asking us, a factorized form of a quadratic expression

a quadratic expression is of the form

ax ^ 2 + bx + c

Now the factored form is as follows

 a ( x - x1 )  ( x - x2 )

Next, let's look at each of the options

In this case we lack a term with x since if we solve we have a linear equation

1.    5(x+9)

  5x + 45

In this case if we pay attention they are being subtracted instead of multiplying, so we will not get a quadratic function

2.    (x+4) - (x+6)

       -2

In this case we have everything we need, now let's try to solve

3.     (x-1) (x-1)

      x^2 - x - x + 1

      x^2 - 2x + 1       quadratic function

In this case we have everything we need, now let's try to solve

4.     (x-3) (x+2)

        x^2 -3x +2x -6

         x^2 -x - 6    quadratic function

In this case we have a quadratic function but we do not have it in its factored form since we can observe the x ^ 2

5.     x^2 + 8x

bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

Median

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the data has an outlier (12,985), mean is not the best average.

This data set does not have a modal value

Therefore the best option is Median
